Between your spinal bones are flexible, gel-like pads called “discs”.
Discs act as a cushion or shock absorber for the spine as well as ensures spinal flexibility. They consist of a soft inner core made mostly of water, and a tough outer wall that consists of fibers and tissue.
Without these soft cushions, spinal bones would not only scrape against each other, but you would be unable to move the spine to its intended range of motion.
Chiropractic spinal manipulation has been demonstrated to be a safe and effective tool in managing disc problems and is less evasive than other professional treatments. In most circumstances, spine surgery and injections are not necessary for the management of disc problems and do not fix the underlying cause.
We will discuss all available treatment options with you and help you decide on the best course of action.
